Metaphor

Greyhounds are to sports cars as couches are to garages. A sports car looks pretty in the garage, all shined up under the lights.. but that is really only part of the point.

If in this world there are passengers and there are drivers, what role does the guy who throws the ball play? ... Tool?

Greyhounds are to buses what.... oh lets face it .. I really have no idea how greyhounds relate to buses.

I'm not going to call you a tool! :P

Um, Greyhounds are to buses what Caterpillars are to tractors?

Maybe you are the fuel? Great analogy! Loved it. It must be great just watching them run at lightning speed. Ever get plowed over by them?? :)

I'm trying to think of something clever to write but I can't, lol! Do you use a ball chucker with Kassa or just a strong arm?

houndstooth : I'm glad you that tool reference. :) Caterpillars are to tractors ... nice

Old Geezer: Welcome. I hope you the blog.

Paws: Analogy.. Doh. Actually last week one owner got knocked over in the launch. He was straddling his dog and I threw the ball. Never seen an impact once in motion though.

Can Sit: right now just strong arm. The trick is throwing and taking a picture at the same time! I need to set up my tripod and get a remote :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. To answer your question, when shooting photos of the greys I use a Canon PowerShot SD1000. Yup, a point and shoot. It fits in my pocket and I don’t have to worry if/when it gets damaged from dust, dirt, mud, greyhound slobber, etc. I time my swing of the camera with the speed of the dog. I’ve been practicing every weekend (and then some) for years to get my timing down. It helps that it is the same group of dogs so I know their behaviors pretty well and can anticipate (a little) what they are going to do. I really enjoy reading your blog.
